About Me
"My name is Lynda Phillips and I am a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist, a Solution Focused Supervisor as well as a Senior Lecturer with CPHT Leeds.
I found hypnotherapy myself after years of suffering with a combination of depression and increasing anxiety levels. It got to the point where I struggled to leave the house; I regularly turned down social invitations and lost all confidence in myself. I could feel myself shutting down and contemplated ending it all - I knew I needed to do something about it, but I couldn't see a way out. I had a very stressful job in the education sector which, although thoroughly rewarding, took up every waking moment. I had lost my spark. I was regularly in tears and felt trapped. It felt like I was numb, unable to connect with anything or anyone.
I stumbled across hypnotherapy by accident - my previous employer hired the services of a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist and I haven't looked back! It explained why I thought the way I did and I was able to, gradually, focus on the positive aspects of my life, which were numerous, but I just stopped seeing them for what they were. I felt like me again!
I knew that I had to help others who were suffering in the same way that I had. I trained with the Clifton Practice of Hypnotherapy Training in Leeds and have the privilege of helping people navigate their own path back to them.
This is the core of SFH - we work together, with the client, to change the mindset. We rewire the brain to change the habit of negative thinking to a positive one, calming the mind and restoring confidence in the process. This enable people to feel in control once again.
Becoming a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist is one of the most rewarding things I have ever done - being able to help clients literally turn their lives around, overcome debilitating issues and find themselves again is an honour and something I am very passionate about."
